Lani Cao Law Office PLLC is a boutique law firm founded in 2012 by Xiaohe (Lani) Cao. Our attorneys are highly experienced, professional, and passionate individuals who are committed to providing personalized legal support to clients navigating the complexities of U.S. immigration processes and other matters.

Founder & Supervising Attorney

Xiaohe Lani Cao

Lani Cao graduated from China University of Politics and Law and Seattle University School of Law. Attorney Cao was admitted to the Bar of the People’s Republic of China and to the Washington State Bar. She is admitted to practice law before the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington. She is also a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Associate Attorney

Li Arya Shen

An experienced Associate Attorney admitted in Washington State, Li brings a rich background in both Chinese and U.S. law. With a Bachelor of Laws from Nanjing University, Master of Laws from Zhejiang University and Keio University, and LL.M. from the University of Washington, Attorney Shen is well-versed in cross-border legal practices, particularly in immigration law.

Benjamin Wang

Benjamin Wang, is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice law before the federal District Court for Oregon and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. As an adjunct law professor at the University of Oregon Law School, he teaches an immigration law course to second- and third-year law students. His education, training and experience with the U.S. immigration system give him a unique ability to understand the concerns and needs of his clients.

Liang Mei

Liang Mei holds J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley Law School and George Mason University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Washington State, as well as in California, Maryland, and China.
With over two decades of legal experience in both China and the United States, Attorney Mei specializes in corporate law, intellectual property law, immigration law, and employment law.

Associate Attorney

Yuhang Chen

Attorney Chen is an Associate Attorney with advanced legal training and international experience. She earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Business and Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center and a Juris Master degree from Zhejiang University in China. Licensed in New York, she provides clients with trusted counsel in Business Law, Estate Planning, and Immigration Law.
