On February 28, 2024, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) sent an email reminder that the myUSCIS organizational account had been activated.

BUT!This year, USCIS upgraded the company account. Although it retained the previous lottery records, it upgraded a Company Group function.

1. What's a Company Group?

After logging in to the employer account, the employer needs to fill in a new feature added by USCIS this year - Company Group. Anyone in the Company Group can view and edit all H-1B registrations and Form I-129 applications. The goal of this feature is to avoid inappropriate sharing of personal information with unauthorized individuals and preserve inclusion and collaboration within the company group for company employees.

There are two roles in each Company Group: "Administrator" and "Member". (Note: The operations these roles can perform are different.)

The Administrator role has extensive permissions to initiate, edit, delete, sign, pay and submit H-1B registration and Form I-129 H-1B petitions, respond to RFEs and NOIDs, add and remove people from company groups, modify roles, etc. (see chart below)

The Member role is mainly responsible for modifying H-1B registration and Form I-129 H-1B applications, and lacks the same level of control as Administrators.

2. How to Fill in Company Group?

Step 1: The company needs to confirm adding the Company Group after logging in to the USCIS official website.

Step 2: Fill in the company's basic information (Company Name, EIN, Address, Company's phone number)

Step 3: Fill in the personal information of the company Administrator.

Step 4: Confirm the information is accurate

Step 5: Successfully create Company Group!

Step 6: Enter the company’s USCIS page to check past lottery records

We will continue to monitor the relevant policy changes and ensure that we provide you with timely updates.
